Let me take you back down memory lane. I was a member of
SPAC for over twenty years. Membership
was $50 and we used to get half price tickets among other perks. Back in the
day partial view seats in section 4 and 5 were half prize also. There were
coupons in the entertainment book and comp tickets were given out to build a
base of new supporters not to court loyalty from Marcia’s toadies.
One of the first actions of White was to raise the price of membership
and cut the discount to 25%. Then the partial view seats were made full price
and every discount was pulled. SPAC membership is half what it used to be. Attendance
has fallen and classical programs cut. The NYCB practically eliminated and the
once proud Philadelphia orchestra reduced to playing Elton John tunes {hey at
least Marcia White might know them}
Now all the across the city the remaining members of SPAC
are opening up the 2013 membership packets to see Marcia White cut the ticket
discount from 25% to 20% for two tickets on day of performance and raised the basic membership from $70 to $75.Adding
insult to injury is the new one dollar service charge White put on every
ticket. None of this has been reported in the press.
Understand this is a petty change that will have no effect on SPAC’s bottom line. Outraged members who tried to get their money back after learning of her pettiness were told to bad. I wonder how many of those people will be renewing in 2013.Just a reminder at the same time White has been cutting member benefits her own bloated salary has been bumped up to 300k
Now tomorrow Marcia White has her Dallas mid-winter party. All
the usual upstate rubes will be there. Many people receive comp tickets for the
event. The highlight of the evening is the annual Marcia White, employee asskissing contest. The winning toadie gets to
keep their job for another year.
The hostess for this event will be Emma Yepsen. Yes daughter
of Mayoral wannabe Joanne Yepsen{warning never get between Joanne and a
camera}. Unless Marcia White is fired this year, 2014 will be the year of pole
dancing being called Modern dance at
SPAC.
In an effort to be more positive I picked up the spring issue
of Mamatoga in UG today. Jenny beat the
odds and put out a first class publication. Beating SaratogaMama to the punch? Priceless. You can read the online
version here. But by all means pick up a hard copy Downtown, it is a beautiful
mag. I will be back Sunday to beat you over the head for donations.

Yepsen. Yeah. I heard it means "pincushion" in some Scandanavian tongue.
I personally infinitely prefer real adult entertainment class pole dancing. I wouldn't go to a ballet if you paid me $1,000. Just tear the place down and expand the golf courses.
We belong to the Palace thwarts basically to get good tickets. I was shocked when going to an Albany Symphony concert the head of public relations actually tracked us down and found us in our seats to thank us personally for supporting the Palace Thwarts. Trust me-it was a modest donation. I give thousands to SPAC every year and have never met Marcia White. No one has ever approached me at any event to thank me for my donations. I get a form letter.
Upstate rubes is right John. The Dakes made a future selling beer, cigarettes and lottery tickets to upstate idiots. Dake left AC to marry the scoopy bear.

When Canadian ballet was announced, I thought they were talking about pole dancing. Now I'm confused.
Where is the Board on this? Talk about negligence and overpayment. It makes the SSHA problem look trivial. The problems found there were minimal compared to this. Is anyoen asking for the entire board of SPAC to resign. Too much political muscle and dollars This is pure negligence to allow this to continue.
Several years ago, a good friend tried to fix me up with Marcia White. When I saw the 1/2' make-up, I realized that I would never understand who she really was and I left the restaurant where we had met for drinks. It was one of my few, but all time great, reads in life!

Let's not forget Mayor Johnson's part in the Wilton water deal. With a 170 acre piece of land for development to sell water to, he'll make out like a bandit with a developer along with Scirocco. Remember the developer Johnson put on our Comprehensive Plan Committee.

Does anyone remember laser pointers in City Hall? McTygue's use of the laser pointer is dangerous, alarming, and childish as he pointed it at members of the gallery in a city hall meeting.

11:41am,we saw it and was funny,tom mctygue did more good for this city than you'll ever do for it,scirocco is dead in the water(so to speak)he left office alright but not disgraced,tom is a very very sucessful person and as far as the fbi goes(where were they?)that was just alot of bs,remember what goes around comes round,and it's come'in,there's no way out.

The last thing this city needs is a McTygue in office. Any office! Skip is a stand up honest guy and the smoke and mirrors is getting old. Selling water to Wilton for 3 times the price is smart.
Selling water to Wilton for whatever amount ISN'T smart!! Not when we're being told we need to find a new water source!!! Not when it wasn't brought to the council or the taxpayers. Beside that, our water rates have increased two-fold since Skippy's been in office.
When you're talking smoke & mirrors you should be relating to the phoney FBI investigation Scirocco continued to pound into voters heads along with the illegal dump Skippy's "laborers, now supervisor buddies" performed & blame McTygue. One thing Skippy's not is honest!!!! Ask Lew Benton how he covered up Skippy's timecard falseification when Skippy was our county supervisor. Remember Skippy? We do!

The retired seniors especially widow or widowers are getting drained. First the $10 service charge for Global Foundries. Than a $5 city surcharge followed by an increase in water and sewer rates. Than another $5 surcharge followed with an increase in water and sewer rates. The total income from the total of $10 in city service fees is well over $450,000 and no one knows where those dollars are allocated to not even the Finance Commissioner. Do they go to pay of bonds? Are they transferred back into DPW accounts? In the meantime seniors who helped make this city what it is are making decisions on whether to buy food or prescription drugs. A program similar to the Senior Star should be set up for these people when it comes to water as well.Why should they pay for future debt or growth? Ooops forgot part of that growth was just baout killed if the Mental health Center is approved. Should be fun time at this week's Planning Board meeting. It would be interesting to see who is being greased on this deal. Politicians win. The taxpayer gets screwed or possibly attacked by a patient.
They are a rogue group of backdoor deal makers. That's why they can't run anyone. They still think Franck is their savior. Skip is better than them and they know it. They have yepsen for their candidate for Mayor. What does that tell you.
How come the Ice rink on Weibel Av has 3 flagpoles with only 1 undersized American flag flying? Doesn't the City of Saratoga Springs have it's own flag? And what about New York State? Is it about the money? Maybe the hockey booster club can buy the flags if DPW is short cash. It just looks bad, not having 3 flags on the 3 poles.
Maybe Mark Scirocco can shimmy up the poles for Daddy to hang flags since he's always hanging out there instead of reading meters.
Now we've just have to find the money for the flags. I know, Wilton can help us!
Todays DPW is a laughing joke. Check their timecards! The public should seewhat all those gas jockeys that drive around looking busy actually do. What do they produce for all their gadgets and vehicles?
